just what some need

So now we have an available $4.99 app [for the uninitiated this term has been used as shorthand for “application” in the IT community for decades but became newly popular for mobile applications] to help our relationships.

FIX A FIGHT for iPhone users, promises to aid in patching up disagreements between couples not unlike one patches up a flat tire. In the midst of an argument, the iPhone is passed back and forth as it gives instructions – which I’ve got to say when you’re fighting is better than passing a tire iron. Most users agree that people who want a five-minute fix might be disappointed in the app — which doesn’t surprise me because the last time I tried to change a tire it took a couple hours…my expectations are realistic. Now, I haven’t had an opportunity to use or even witness the app in action, but I suppose any tool that is helpful in bringing about resolution and reconciliation to a relationship is a good thing. Here’s my problem, normally it’s my overuse of my iPhone that causes a fight. So for me to suggest to my wife that we use it to help fix things – probably won’t work. My guess is she would much rather use a tire iron.

re: the random-ness

Husband. Father. Senior Pastor of Parkview Community Church in Glen Ellyn, IL.

Ok...so you've located the place where I put down my random thoughts. The key word here is random: music, sports, art, food, books, news, spiritual musings, weird stories, etc. I'm especially interested in how everyday experiences of life intersect with the ancient stories of Scripture. Thanks for reading.
